Artrez

A family-run Italian café that had no website of its own now has one page with the room, the opening hours and the address.

The brief

Make the useful thing the visible thing.

Artrez had no website. The link in its Instagram bio went to a delivery app, so the page with its name, menu and prices belonged to someone else. The job was one page the café owns, with the room, the hours and the address. Online ordering is not live at the moment.

Design decisions

Three choices shape the site.

  1. 01One page the café owns, in place of a marketplace listing that carried its name, menu and prices
  2. 02The opening hours are read from one table everywhere they appear, because the hand-built version had them typed in three places and they were already drifting
  3. 03The photographs, the room and the review lines are the café’s own — nothing on the page is stock

Real business, real site

Artrez Cafe is a real client.

The site is live at artrez-cafe.vercel.app, and every screen above is that site rather than a mock-up.
